Jayapataka Swami:  Caitanya Caritamrita Adi Lila 17.29: “Thus a vaisnava should not ask anything from anyone else. If someone gives him something without being asked, he should accept it, but if nothing comes, a vaisnava should be satisfied to eat whatever vegetables and fruits are easily available.”
So, simply living and high thinking. We don’t try to complicate our life. And by that way, we can naturally be peaceful.
Previously the vaisnavas were living in their own cottage. They were not having any temples or ashrams. So they would practice Krsna consciousness. Sometimes, someone might offer them some food or something. But if they get something without asking, they could accept it. But if nothing comes, then they should live on vegetables, fruits and things which easily come by. That is the advice of Srila Prabhupada. And, Lord Caitanya, Viswambar. So, now we live in an ashram and we expect that all these things will be provided. So, actually, by Srila Prabhupada’s and Krsna’s mercy we are getting a lot of prasadam.
