Jayapataka Swami: The Athivaradar deity is made out of fig tree. I tried to find out what was the history behind the Deity, but there was such a rush to see the Deity that no one could really explain the whole lila of the Deity. Somehow the Deity was carved by the Universal Architect Viswakarma. Something that Lord Brahma had a giant fig tree and the Deity was carved out of this fig tree. And He is about nine feet tall. And apparently He is very hot. So He needs to stay in the water to cool down, that is what I was told. And there is some pastimes between Saraswati devi and Lord Brahma, I will try to find out more.
