Jayapataka Swami: Well, it seems that the self-test is happening automatically. If you say that when a provoking situation occurs, you see how intolerant you are. It is alright to be intolerant of the offences of others on the Supreme Lord or His pure devotees. But to be intolerant, proud when there is someone offensive materially, those are the circumstances under which we are advised to be tolerant and humble. So we should distinguish between the two. We should be humble and tolerant, when there is some obstacle to our self-esteem or sense gratification occurs. We should be intolerant if someone offends Krsna.
