Dear Devotees and well-wishers,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Guru Maharaja’s health is even better today. One of the supervising doctors from the ICU said today that Guru Maharaja’s parameters are “overall excellent”. Guru Maharaja hasn’t had fever for nearly 3 days now. Today, he was extubated, which means that the breathing device has been taken out but he still remains in the ICU under careful supervision.

It is a fact that Guru Maharaja is responding positively to the treatment since the crisis on Sunday May 10th in Mayapur. However, we need to be aware and acknowledge that health-wise, Guru Maharaja’s liver is the main problem and thus we need to keep our prayers going since there is always a risk of the situation deteriorating.

Even though it appears that the cause of the latest crisis was pneumonia – as it has been explained before-, the liver has cirrhosis, so the course of action is to prevent further complications. Rest assured that Guru Maharaja is at the best possible facility in India (and in Asia) for this sort of conditions. Daily, the team of devotee-doctors is actively researching for opinions from specialists around the world on how to carefully assist Guru Maharaja in his health care.

Visits are normally strictly forbidden to prevent the risk of infections and ensure Guru Maharaja receive total rest. The secretaries regularly report Guru Maharaja of the offerings sent to him to recover. Please continue to send your offerings to and we will make sure Guru Maharaja will be reported on this as soon as possible.

We will keep you informed through, JPS App (available on both iPhone and Android), and twitter (@jayapatakaswami).

Please note that from now on, messages sent through JPS App will only be in English until the next update, which will allow us to send you the messages in your specified language. Meanwhile, all the messages will continue to be translated into various languages and shared through the website ( and the language-specific Facebook pages. Thank you for your understanding.
