Dear Devotees and well-wishers,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Guru Maharaja today was “officially” discharged from the ICU, but at the last minute, the hospital head doctor requested to postpone his transfer for tomorrow just to make sure Guru Maharaja was totally fine and wouldn’t have to comeback again to the ICU. Including Guru Maharaja we all were disappointed by the change of events, but had to comply for the sake of securing Guru Maharaja’s health.

All his tests prove he is definitely recovering and he is very keen on getting “back to the field”. This morning he was enquiring about the devotees sending their prayers and offerings to him. In his candid way, he has re-named the ICU as the “Intensive Cold Unit” since they have the air-conditioning very high to reduce the risk of infections, etc. Guru Maharaja was thanking doctors and nurses for their attention and everyone was extremely happy for having his association but happier that now he was practically free to go. It is just another day of waiting for all.

The Critical Care doctor said, “we have mixed feelings for Swamiji; we are happy because he is better and sad because we will not see him so often now”. It is amazing how all this time hardly able to speak or communicate with the staff; Guru Maharaja has attracted all of them. He asked everyone to fill their contact details so he can pray for their advancement in Krishna consciousness. The staff took turns writing their details while Guru Maharaja was preaching to them.

Guru Maharaja is taking prasadam and there are few precautions with his diet (soft consistency, measured amounts, etc.). He was happy to know that things are looking better now. Although we all feel relieved that we will have to wait just for another day, we request your prayers to continue so his recovery is not jeopardize this time around.

Please send your offerings to and we will make sure Guru Maharaja will be reported on this as soon as possible. We humbly request you to continue your sincere prayers and chanting for his fast recovery.

We will keep you informed through, JPS App (available on both iPhone and Android), and twitter (@jayapatakaswami).
