Nityananda Prabhu’s vision of Lord Gaurasundar’s six-armed form.

Caitanya Caritamrita Mahakavya: Sanskrit: I don’t know Sanskrit so we have to accept the translation.

Translation: First seeing Mahaprabhu’s form with six arms, then His sweet, attractive form with four arms, He then suddenly saw His remarkable two armed form again.

Translation: The avadoota saw a very magnificent form of Gaura Krsna displaying six arms. After a moment, He saw the Lord’s four armed form and a moment later, His form of two arms.

Caitanya Caritamrita Adi Lila:

Translation by Srila Prabhupada: One day, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu exhibited to Lord Nityananda Prabhu, a six armed form bearing a conch shell, disc, club, lotus flower, bow and arrow and flute.

So the sanka, cakra, gada and Padma are the form of Narayana. Here we have present Sankadari prabhu. Lord Narayana is also Sankadari and Lord Caitanya was also Sankadari. The other two hands, holding a bow and arm is Lord Rama and the flute is Lord Krsna. So the six handed form was Narayana, Rama and Krsna. Sometimes Lord Caitanya shows the six handed forms, two arms flute, one stick, for herding the cows, bow and arrow for Rama and kamandalu and sanyas danda for Lord Caitanya. Sometimes He shows a six formed form of two Nrsimha, two Krsna and two Lord Caitanya. So this form of six hands was Narayana, Rama and Krsna.

Caitanya Mangal:

First Lord Gauranga showed the six handed form. Then He showed a four handed form and then a two handed form. Hands, arms, shadbhuj, caturbhuj and duibhuj.

Translation by Srila Prabhupada: Thereafter the Lord showed Him His four armed form standing in a three-curved posture. With two hands He played a flute, and in the other two hands, He carried a conch shell and disc.

This is from the Caitanya Bhagavat:

So the garland that the Lord wore was so beautiful, it enchanted the viewers! And His hair was also wound up like a brahmana. And some rishis have their hair wound up on top. So the Lord’s hair was curly and were special wound. At that time, Viswambar manifested His six armed form.

Caitanya Mangal:

Seeing these very wonderful forms, Lord Nityananda, avadoota, remembered the previous pastimes that They had both performed together.

Lord Nityananda watched and He said, My Lord Gaura has manifested in a single form, three avatars!

Translation by Srila Prabhupada from the Caitanya Caritamrita Madhya Lila:

Finally, the Lord showed Nityananda Prabhu, His two armed form of Krsna, the son of Nanda maharaja, simply playing on His flute, His blue body dressed in yellow garments.

So the purport is that the Caitanya Mangal, vividly elaborates upon this description.

Caitanya Mangal:

Lord Nityananda, He saw the divine form of Lord Caitanya manifesting Lord Ramacandra, Lord Krsna and Lord Gauranga, combined in a single, glorious divine form, and then after that Lord Nityananda saw the eternally young, teenaged couple, Sri Sri Radha Krsna! The word used is Radha Kanu. Krsna in Vrndavana is called Kanu or Kanhai.

This is from the Murari Gupta Korca:

Translation: Upon beholding, to His great joy and astonishment, those very marvelous forms within the body of Sacinandana, Gauranga’s son, at once laughing and laughing, the sage, out of gladness, began to dance.

The sage mentioned is Lord Nityananda – Lord Nityananda out of gladness, began to dance.

Caitanya Mangal:

So Lord Nityananda, He joyfully danced. He had unlimited bliss. He was flooded in an ocean of ecstatic life, spiritual love, an ocean that had no horizon, no end.

Caitanya Bhagavat, Madhya Lila:

Seeing the conch, wheel, disc, the club, the lotus, and seeing the plow and the special club, musalah. Lord Nityananda, He fell unconscious, being overwhelmed. So in this form the Lord showed two arms with Lord Balarama’s plow and special club, musalah. So Lord Nityananda had given a garland to Lord Caitanya. Then He displayed His six handed form. Upon seeing this form, Lord Nityananda fell unconscious in spiritual ecstasy.

When Lord Nityananda saw this six handed form of Lord Caitanya, He fell unconscious to the ground, with no symptoms of life.

ALL THE VAISNAVAS BECAME FRIGHTENED SEEING LORD NITYANANDA UNCONSCIOUS ON THE GROUND. They prayed, OH KRSNA, PLEASE PROTECT NITAI! OH KRSNA, PLEASE PROTECT HIM!

The son of Jagannath Misra, Lord Gauranga, He roared loudly and repeatedly slapped His sides!

Caitanya Carita Mahakavya: Sanskrit:

Translation: Seeing the sweet, attractive forms of Mahaprabhu, the ocean of mercy Nityananda was overjoyed. Trembling with great happiness, He laughed loudly and danced. His body submerged in an ocean of happiness.

So there are 9 or 10 more verses, which we will read on subsequent days. Any questions?

Question: Hemanga Haladhar das: Hare Krsna Guru maharaj, PAMRO, what to do when we have opportunity to preach or take care of devotees who come for camp in Mayapur? And opportunity to hear from you through class? Because even while taking care of new devotees, the thought that I am missing class will come in my mind?

Guru maharaj: Bring them to the class! If you are assigned to take care of those devotees who are coming to Mayapur, then you can take care of the devotees and hear the recording later. If you cannot, bring them to the class. Haribol! This is an appreciation from the USA, watching on the internet. This class is being broadcast all over the world, through Facebook and they are seeing you. You are now world famous! Show them! Raise your hands and say Haribol!

Haridhwani devi dasi: We are fortunate beyond measure to hear these loving pastimes from you guru maharaj! Thank you! Haridhwani from New Talavan (Guru maharaj added, Mississippi, USA).

Question: Hare Krsna Guru maharaj. PAMRO. When we go before deities and share our feelings, then He reciprocates and answers. But how shall I know and recognize that this is the voice of Him or my mind? Kindly tell.

Guru maharaj: If you have a doubt, you can clear it up with your spiritual master. Haribol!

So one group photo with all the devotees who have come here. And then the prasadam for all. You can take the austerity! Turn around that way!
