Jayapatākā Swami: They are non-different than Mahā-Viṣṇu, but They have different jobs. So They are not like the living entities. Not that they go to sleep or something. So they don’t have to go back into Mahā-Viṣṇu but I don’t know what They do. When the material world is destroyed, what do they do. They may go back into the Mahā-Viṣṇu, maybe, I don’t know. Because it says that when the Lord creates, then He expands as Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu in every universe, and as the Kṣīrodakaśāyī Viṣṇu He maintains every universe. So it says like that the different Viṣṇus come from the Mahā-Viṣṇu. So if They are again manifested from the Mahā-Viṣṇu, it doesn’t specifically say what happens to Them. But there is only one God, but He has ananta-rūpam.
