Jayapataka Swami:  Sometimes people would say that Srila Prabhupada was a Shaktiavesh Avatar. He didn’t deny it or he didn’t accept it. He said that Lord Caitanya empowers people to preach. No one can spread a Krsna conscious movement unless he receives the mercy and empowerment of Lord Caitanya. So some people called Srila Prabhupada a Shaktiavesh Avatar, but Srila Prabhupada in his own words, he would say that he received the mercy of Guru and Gauranga. And when people said he was a Shaktiavesh Avatar, he didn’t particularly accept or reject that. He said that he was a jiva, and he didn’t want people to call him an avatar or some Visnu tattva.
