Jayapataka Swami:   Śrīla Prabhupāda had said repeatedly that there would be no caste system. So that also was said in the Purāṇas. That there could be one varṇa, Hari Bhakta. We see that Śrīla Prabhupāda established the āśramas. Brahmacārīs, grhastas, vanaprastas, sannyāsa. Those āśramas were established. But generally in Kali yuga the sannyāsa āśrama is prohibited. So most of the people become gṛhasthas. And if they do take sannyāsa they live in some āśrama. Like Nārada muni, they don’t go into the forest to live. That kind of sannyāsa is prohibited in Kali yuga. So this confusion is still there, that what varṇas are the different people. But Śrīla Prabhupāda was instructing that we should be devotees of Kṛṣṇa. And that depending on the different work we are doing, and we see the particular responsibilities of that work. But for Kṛṣṇa we can do any service. Like Arjuna, he was a kṣatriya, his duty was to fight war. Our duty is to serve Kṛṣṇa. And depending on what needs to be done, we do it. So that was in short.
