So today was the last day of our GBC meetings. But I will still be sending audio message out to some of the different parties. Marici das wrote me that I am looking a bit tired, so I have to rest out, so that I can serve you better. So we will combine our class to the parikrama with the evening class here. And then we will have some introductions and some questions and answers. So which group? This year we are glad we have the Russian party again. For some years they had stopped having the Russian party. The International party is going to Mamagaachi. Break in audio here.

There was one devotee called Saranga Thakur. And Lord Caitanya would see him off and on. So Lord Caitanya told him he should accept disciples. Every time He saw him, he would tell him, take disciple, take disciples, take disciples. So he made a commitment that the first person I see tomorrow I will initiate him! Ha! So every morning he went and bathed in the Ganges. This time bathing in the Ganges a body bumped into him. And the body had died because of snake bite and it is very common in India that if your son or daughter gets bitten by a snake, you put him on a bamboo or banana tree raft and hope that some sadhu who knows how to attract the poison would see him. Here I had some friends and one was Adalat Shaikh. And he was a Muslim. But he knew how to extract snake poison. But he never told what mantra he used. It was a big secret. His villagers don’t know. He told guru maharaj in a hushed voice – he used a Krishna mantra! Don’t tell anyone! Especially his village people! By mentioning Kaliya Krishna, he would extract the poison of the snake. So they have done this. The body was tied in a raft and thrown in the Ganges. That raft bumped into Saranga Thakur. He saw a body on the raft. He said the first person I see I will initiate him and so he pulled him over in the ear and gave the sacred manta. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare and other mantras. Which I cannot chant out loud! So that dead body came back to life! He gave him the name Murari Caitanya das. So Murari Caitanya das since he was dead he came back to life, he was fearless. He would ride on the back of the tigers; tigers would obey him! So he would go and tell people, chant Hare Krishna and since he was riding a tiger, everyone would chant Hare Krishna Hare Krishna. A good thing if you can do it!! In the news some days ago it showed how a boy, a youth, had a pet lion and the lion mauled and killed him. So it is not so easy to ride on a tiger. Sometimes Murari Caitanya das would go under water and chant japa for a few days! He did some amazing things and he was a very dynamic preacher. So Saranga Thakur’s deity is here and also Vaasudev Dutta deity is here. And we found the place of Vaasudev Dutta. It is behind Saranga Thakur. And that is the last edge of Jahanudvip. And then starts Modadrumadvip with the birth place of Vrndavan das Thakur and there are two hidden thirthas. A huge banyan tree which Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshman were under. And Rama was smiling and Sita said, why are You smiling? This is My holy dham, I come here in the Kali yuga in My golden form. And in this leela, I will banish you to the forest and I will be worshipping a golden form of you. In that leela I will banish Myself to the forest and you will worship a golden form of Me. Sita was not too happy about either. She did not want to be separated from her Lord. So Modadrumadvip is the island of servitude. It is the island of daasya bhaav. The other hidden thirtha which we haven’t found is is non-different from Vaikuntha, but we haven’t found it yet. So there is Arga Tila we have found, and then there is Mahatpur, the place of the 5 Pandavas and Draupadi. I will not tell the pastimes of these place, I would like others to tell. Haribol! Thankyou. Your well-wisher and servant, Jayapataka Swami.

(Guru maharaj is addressing the Russian party now)

On the path going from Bel Pukur going to Jagannath temple, there is a place on the way which is known as Meghachora. There Lord Caitanya was chanting with His party. And suddenly a rain cloud came. We have rainy season here in Bengal. And it rains very profusely. Lord Caitanya raised His kartals and played them and the clouds went away. So Meghachora, driving away the clouds!

Then we stop at the place of Simantini devi. But in our Jagannath temple we have a deity of Simantini, she is a form of Parvati. Also, you will be seeing the tree of Lord Shiva and then you will see the place of the Chand Kazi’s samadhi.

The pastime of Simantini starts in Kailash. There Lord Shiva was chanting the names of Gauranga and dancing. Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gaura Anga Gaura Anga, Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga!

Meanwhile Druga devi or Parvati, she was travelling around the universe, and she saw that the dancing of her husband was causing tsunamis in the lower planets. And also earthquakes. So she became very concerned because it wasn’t the time of the maha pralaya or great devastation. She is known as Jagan mata, she is mother of the universe. She does not like people to unnecessarily suffer. So she went back to Kailash to see why her husband was dancing so much! When she came there, she saw that Lord Shiva was chanting. Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga!

She said, swami, swami! He said, why did you interrupt My ecstasy? I was feeling such ecstasy! I am sorry said Mother Parvati. I was just seeing how the living entitites in different planets were suffering and it wasn’t time for the maha pralaya or final destruction. So I didn’t know that You were in ecstasy! What was that You were chanting? I was chanting GAURANGA! That is very interesting, what does that mean? Lord Gauranga is a special avatar of Krishna. He appears in Navadvip dham and He gives out Krishna prema without considering who is qualified or who is unqualified. He gives it to everyone! Who wants Krishna prema? If you have Krishna Prema you will become almost like a mad person, Krishna! Krishna! Krishna! Lord Gauranga would cry for Krishna and tears would come from His eyes like Ganges flowing! When He came back after getting initiated, He chanted in the house of Shuklambhar Brahmachari near the Ganges near the Ganges and the devotees seeing His separation or vipralambha, they also started to cry and some of them rolling on the ground and He would put His arm around them said and would cry, and say, you don’t know what is like, I had Krishna and I lost him Oh Krishna! Krishna! Krishna! Twelve hours nonstop crying for Krishna. Kirtan going on, dancing, sometimes, falling on the ground. There was a column holding up the house, He mistook it for Krishna and hugged it! Ha! Then He fell! These pastimes are unbelievable, beyond description. Anyway, Parvati then said, how can I get the mercy of this Gauranga? You go to Navadvip dham and chant His name. Gauranga! Gauranga! She came to Navadvip dham and she began to chant. Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga!

Then Lord Gauranga appeared to Parvati and He said, what boon do you want? I heard You are the most merciful avatar of Krishna. So I would like to get pure love for Lord Krishna. But I don’t even get association with devotees. Devotees call me the witch, maya. They don’t associate with me. So I am deprived, I need Your mercy! So He said, thathasthaha! So be it. Here you will realize that you are my aagya shakti and you are non-different from Radharani. This is the abheda beda tattva that she is simultaneously one and diff from Radharani. In Simantadvip she realized her oneness with Radharani and she took the dust from Lord Gauranga’s lotus feet, and put it on the parting of her hair. That front of the head with the hair in the middle is called Simanta, or the residence of the goddess of fortune, Sridevi or Lakshmi Devi. That is why the island is known as Simantadvip, because Parvati put the dust of Lord Gauranga on her hair. So in this island you will see Jagannath, Baladev, Subhadra, Sudarshan chakra, there is a Balaram thirtha where he killed Mayasur and liberated him. There is also the Jalangi river not far away. So you will be camping here tonight, or in the field, where there is Kolavecha Sridhar’s place. So we hope you have a nice experience in Simantadvip. Thank you very much. Hare Krishna. Thank you. Spacibo. Your servant and well-wisher, Jayapataka Swami.
