Dear Devotees and well-wishers,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

We are glad to inform you that today Guru Maharaja was moved from the ICU. However, since his condition is still frail, he will be staying in a hospital private room under strict medical supervision. The head doctor of the ICU considered it more beneficial for Guru Maharaja to have his own room so he could have better rest and be encouraged to continue his breathing exercises.

This arrangement will facilitate Guru Maharaja’s personal doctors, servants and secretaries to assist him more closely even though the same ICU restrictions are in place. This will help to prevent any infections but allow Guru Maharaja to have more personal space for therapies. He was glad to come out of the ICU and was offered by the hospital to allocate specialized medical staff to closely check his progress around the clock.

By now several of the hospital staff, including some of the doctors are chanting Hare Krishna by Guru Maharaja’s preaching. Even in his physically weak condition, he remains totally focused in fulfilling Srila Prabhupada’s main desire, to spread Krishna Consciousness.

So far we have received over 500 letters from devotees sending Guru Maharaja their best wishes and reports of their extra endeavours for his fast recovery. Thousands of devotees all over the world are performing yajnas, extra chanting and pujas in benefit of Guru Maharaja. Last night while reporting about these messages to him, we noticed his satisfaction in receiving the care of so many Vaisnavas. Fast as ever in his comments, he said, “So they are keeping you all busy!”

Thank you for sending in your offering. Please continue to send them to jpshealth108@gmail.com and we will make sure Guru Maharaja will be reported on this as soon as possible. We humbly request you to continue your sincere prayers and chanting for his fast recovery.

We will keep you informed through www.jayapatakaswami.com, JPS App (available on both iPhone and Android), and twitter (@jayapatakaswami).
